New Way Pork is a commercial swine production facility with two locations with a total of 144.6acres in Moore County, Texas. The main facility is located on 106 acres of land five miles southwest of Dumas,Texas on F.M. Hwy. 722. The other facility referred to as “New Way East” is located 16 miles east of Dumas on Hwy. 152 and on 38.6 acres. New Way Pork has a first class breeding and gestation barn large enough to easily accommodate 1200 sows with pit ventilation and cool cells for summertime. It has an artificial insemination laboratory and semen collection facility with all necessary equipment. There is a drop feeding system in the building and gestation barn.

The main facility has 8 separate nursery building containing 28 pens each and 16 separate finishing barns each with 550 head capacity. Eight of the older barns were remodeled in 1988. The other barns were built in 1996 to 1997. All barns have pit ventilation and pull plug/recharge pits. There are 4 farrowing barns containing 56 crates each. Each barn is split into 2-28 crate rooms. The crates are raised and contain pit troughs where water is flushed through twice daily. The feeding and watering equipment are for approximately 1200 sows farrow to finish, with a permit for 14,525 head over 55 pounds.

All feed is transferred from the on-site feed mill to each barn by a Model 500 flex flow feed delivery system. The feedmill is improved with a Weigh Tronix 2000 SFM Hammer Mill & Mixer, controlled by a CSI-150 computer, 14 hopper micro ingredient bins, 4 ton/hour capacity, 1-23,000 bu. metal grain bin, 4-80,000 lbs. metal grain bins, 2-60,000 lbs. monecal/phosphorus/calcium tanks, and a 60,000 lbs. heated, insulated liquid fat tank. There are 5 trailer houses used for employee housing, a 1,350 sq. ft. metal office building, shop building, water wells, waste water lagoons, security fencing and cattle fencing.

New Way East was intended to increase finishing capacity to meet increased kill weigh requirements from packers. There are 4 swine finishing barns (800 head each) and a grower barn which are fully functional. The feed mill is identical to the main farm feed mill with a 20-ton bulk feed truck to deliver feed to the barns. The main residence is a brick veneer, 3,110 sq. ft. home with an attached garage. Other improvements include three woodframe employee residences, (880 sq. ft., 1,016 sq. ft. and 1,978 sq. ft.), a metal Quonset barn (4,284 sq. ft.), a wood-frame and metal barn (3,000 sq. ft.), a small office, and two water wells producing 30 gpm each.

New Way Pork facilities have been well kept and maintained, the barns are very clean. This facility is ready to go. Operating permits for both facilities are current and expire in 2014.
